All Our Yesterdays

One of the most popular radio programmes of my youth was Have a Go in which nations down on their luck asked quizmaster extraordinaire Angela 'are yer courting?' Merkel for - how can I put it? - money. With Walter at the table and such catchphrases as "Give 'im the money, Walter", the programme enjoyed considerable success in the early years of the 21st century before it was replaced by an equally popular series, but this time on TV, called It's a Bailout!.
