Where Are They Now? (I)

François Hollande

After a brief but disastrous spell as President of the French Republic, Hollande failed to see the year out and is now licking his wounds in his country seat of Tulle. One of the nicest things of being out of office, he confided to me, is that he no longer needs to adhere to that ridiculous diet Valérie forced upon him. He was well shot of him, and her come to that. He now spends some of his time at the Tulle branch of McDonald's (Site des Anciens Abbatoirs; Tel. 08 99 23 83 30). He would go there more often (there is no Quick in Tulle) but there is always the chance that he might run into Valérie, Ségolène or Martine. Quick is not in fact well established in the Limousin Region and Hollande would have to travel into neighbouring Aquitaine in search of a Giant Max Cheese

Plans for the future? He is working on a cover version of Leo Ferré's 1969 hit C'est Normal.
