I was pleased to hear the IHT getting a favourable mention from the Today team this morning. Although it is very much a "lite" version of its parent The New York Times, I do not find this to be a handicap. On the contrary, I would feel ill at ease with the sheer quantity of the mighty NYT. I find the IHT is a readable and reliable source of international news, and there are other resources at my disposal if I want to discover what is going on in the UK or France in greater detail. The iPad edition has improved immeasurably since I first signed up two or three years ago, regularly adding new features and making improvements to the interface.
There are times when I look back fondly to the days when I waited impatiently for the postman to arrive bearing my crisp copy of the paper edition, but honesty compels me to admit that as often as not it wasn't even delivered.
