Text or Image?

There are two types of person: those who divide the world into types of person and those don't.
Seriously, I think there is a certain amount of mileage to be derived from the distinction alluded to above. I myself am a text man, as both of you would have noticed if you had had the common courtesy to read this blog. But as we all know, there are many bloggers and few bloggees.
But to get back to the distinction, I do think it is a valid one. Most people belong to the "one picture is worth a thousand words" brigade. One need look no further than the "Blogs of Note" feature in Blogger to see that this is true. But I think I am one of the relatively few people who really do prefer a written to a visual account of something.
Incidentally, what are the criteria used by Blogger to establish what are and what aren't "Blogs of Note"? By any objective yardstick, my blog is more than worthy of note, but to my surprise it has yet to be listed. Obviously a technical problem.
