Of Webs and Offices

There is much talk these days of the advent of online office suites such as Zoho, ThinkFree and of course Google Docs and Spreadsheets. On several occasions I have read articles comparing the respective merits of these offerings, the latest being one from Read/Write Web. What I find rather strange is that all of these reviews - without exception - limit themselves to comparing the FEATURES of these applications. There is no serious attempt to find out to what extent they actually work. Well, here is my unbiased rating of the three products mentioned above.
In my experience, the only one you can rely on not to seize up at fairly regular intervals and not to slow down to a crawl on others is Google Docs and Spreadsheets. The other two certainly look impressive but, for the reasons just mentioned, are virtually unusable.
