My Rifle, My Pony and Me

Those of you familiar with Rio Bravo - surely the greatest western ever made - will remember the the "lull before the storm" when Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Walter Brennan and onlooker John Wayne sing a couple of songs in the sheriff's office. Out of the blue, I heard My Rifle, My Pony and Me this morning, complete with an introduction by John Wayne, no less! Breathtakingly beautiful and a goose-pimply reminder of a vanished world. All dead, long dead, with the possible exception of Angie Dickinson.
Incidentally, has anyone remarked on the superb diction and timing of Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson?
