My other blog is simply a transcription of the diaries kept by my grandmother from shortly before my grandfather's death in 1939 until 1961.
There are a few anomalies. For reasons unknown even to myself, I have started in 1943, but I do intend to cover the earlier years as well and eventually my grandfather's diaries too (if I can decipher his handwriting). I also need to hit upon a way of ordering the entries which makes them reasonably accessible in blog form. A blog may not actually turn out to be the best format for this kind of thing, but even if I change to something else it won't be a waste of time.
I don't know whether these diaries will be of interest to anyone outside the family, or indeed to many inside it. I last read them when I was a student in the 'sixties and can remember virtually nothing about them, so I shall be (re)discovering them as I go along.
