Why? Why? Why?

Why do French singers (Patrick Bruel, Alain Souchon, Eddy Mitchell, Marc Lavoine, Vanessa Paradis, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Johnny Hallyday, etc.) pursue parallel careers as actors, whereas this is very rare in England?

Why do the French, as staunch republicans, seem so keen to establish dynasties? Gainsbourg, Hallyday, Brasseur, Belmondo, Drucker, Poivre d’Arvor, Mitterand, Depardieu, Delon, Souchon, Dutronc, etc.

Why do most French trains run on time whereas in England this is a rare occurrence? Or is this information out of date?

Who do French TV programmes never start on time whereas they always do in England?

Why do the English say Sir Winston Churchill whereas the French say Sir Churchill?

Why do French publishers put the list of contents at the back of the book?

Why are French flannels in the form of a glove?

Why do the French drive increasingly on the right?

Why Why Why?
