The Big Dipper

You travel along, not perhaps on the best of form but possessed enough to wave to faces in the crowd, admire the flowers along the way and even discourse on the state of the world to anyone who cares to listen.

Then all of a sudden the big dipper takes matters in hand, picking you up as though you were nothing - as indeed you are - and whisking you to the top of a dizzy peak. Then, completely out of control, you hurtle down to the depths of the valley on the other side where you are tossed contemptuously from left to right before coming to a shuddering halt at journey's end.

On tottering legs you make your way towards the exit. To the untutored eye you may seem as before, but you are not, you most certainly are not!
