Questions and Answers

A good way to control the flow of a conversation or exchange, recently discovered by politicians and businessmen, is to answer questions which they themselves have asked. So much less stressful than attempting to answer questions posed by others!

Of his time in a Jesuit boarding school:

“Was the education doled out with a good stiff slap?” he asked. “Yes. Did we suffer great emotional trauma? No.”

And here he discusses Ryanair's no-refund policy:

“Will we give you a refund on a nonrefundable ticket because your granny died unexpectedly?” he asked. “No! Go away. We’re not interested in your sob stories! What part of ‘no refund’ do you not understand?”
