On Your Screens This Weekend

  • Six Nations Rugby: Underdogs England take on the might of Italy in the cauldron that is the Stadio Flaminio. But supremo Martin Johnson insists that he will settle for nothing less than a draw.
  • So, You Can Dance, You Think?: Three acrobats on loan from Bertram Mills Circus fight it out in this eagerly awaited final. Personally I am very impressed by the compère, Cat Deeley. Seriously, this sort of show depends enormously on the talent and charisma of the MC, and she really is extraordinary. But I can't see why she feels compelled to wear stilts all the time.
  • The Art of Russia: Fashionista Andrew Graham-Dixon, shows off his latest line of men swear menswear, this time against the exotic backdrop of diamond-encrusted FabergĂ© eggs.
  • The Money Programme: A team of highly-paid economists explain how it is possible to bail out heavily indebted countries when you haven't got any money yourself. Some language may offend.

    Anent "men swear menswear":

In the U.S., shortly after the dawn of the internet, Lumberman's Exchange set up a website.

Apostrophes can't be used in a domain name, so it came out

    Lumbermansexchange

It was soon changed to lbonline.

  2. Thanks Lesle. I laughed a lot! It reminds me of a classic WWII headline concerning General Montgomery. The headline read: "Monty Flies Back to Front"...
