This blog sometimes dwells on weighty matters but on the whole it tends to steer clear of the many catastrophes and tragedies confronting this world. There are quite enough people dealing with such events without my chipping in.
But I cannot let this superb article by Nicholas D. Kristol pass in silence. But be warned. It makes for harrowing reading.
