A Word from the Geek

Did you know that 99% of British roads have been photographed by Google and are now available for viewing via the Street View component of Google Maps? Talk about invasion of privacy! I'm afraid it's a bit late for that now. I'm afraid you can't actually peep inside people's houses to see if there are any valuable beautiful pictures, but short of that...

In the United States, but not yet in Britain, Google can also give you cycling and walking directions, not only for "bracing leisure activities" but also for getting to and from work.

Lastly and nothing to do with Google, if you are looking for a cheap ski holiday why not try Slovakia? Far cheaper than western Europe and I'm told they all speak English there. This is entirely disinterested advice as nothing would induce me to go anywhere near the ski slopes!

I really wonder who told you about the Slovakian ski vacation... And like you, be it at Les Arcs 1800 or at Slovakia 3rd Millenium Slope Resort, I will be nowhere to be found.

  2. Well, you have to get your information from somewhere! In the meantime, I shall see you poolside at the Hyatt Hotel!
