General Election: Too Close to Call? Update

Sorry for the truly abysmal quality of this post. As has been pointed out to me, if you can't do better than that why bother to write at all?

It would be a very foolish person who dares to predict the winner of next month's contest. It is relatively easy to narrow the race down to the three candidates. Gordon Brown, Nick Clegg and David Cameron, but beyond that there is precious little to go on. All three candidates went to university and their signs are, respectively, Aquarius, Capricorn and Libra. All of them are fervent supporters of Aston Villa Football Club. As is usually the case, all of them were fully paid-up members of the Communist Party in their student days but have since put such frivolous behaviour behind them. Similarly, they have promised to to adopt a more serious approach to the consumption of drugs.

Our political correspondent writes: the winner is likely to be the one who proves most successful in attracting the largest number of votes.

I fully intended to give the whole bally thing up for a sort of delayed Lent - now I'm back on the chocolate and occasional swear word - but have become sucked in against my will.
It's quite good fun if you don't take it personally.

Anyway, Mr. Dunn, don't you have politicians of your own to fret over? 'Things' seem a bit fraught over the channel, according to my Rag of Choice!
