From Newsweek
Almost every dimension of cognition improves from 30 minutes of aerobic exercise, and creativity is no exception. The type of exercise doesn't matter, and the boost lasts for at least two hours afterward. However, there's a catch: this is the case only for the physically fit. For those who rarely exercise, the fatigue from aerobic activity counteracts the short-term benefits.
The answer to your little problem seems quite clear to me, Mr. Dunn.
ReplyDeleteGo on, guess.
And might I just refer to your autobiography here. Are your loyal readership aware that every single school you attended was then closed down? I think Durham University may still be in business, tho.
Actually, St Richards didn't close down. It just changed premises to the neighbouring county of Herefordshire!

ReplyDeleteThe physical Beaumont College may have closed down but its spirit lives on ine the Beaumont Union
and each year in Lourdes with the family groups of the London Beaumont Region of the HCPT.
My own prep school was Ladycross which like Beaumont (and your own junior school?) closed down too but thankfully unlike Beaumont its spirit does not - I met an old friend from Ladycross in Ireland earlier this year and despite or perhaps because of the unpleasantness of the place for 10 year olds as we were then, our close friendship was resumed with ease and enthusiasm after a break of 50 years+
Friendships with Old Beaumont boys are invariably easy even with the one who I have only met online and others who left Beaumont years before I started there.
Hi Jerry
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. And I can tell you that I treasure my online friendship with you!
Hope you are enjoying your holiday - or is that already in the past?
