Nines

It is generally agreed that, of all the personality types, nines are the nicest and best. Nines are almost always good looking and are noted for their infinite charm which few, if any, can resist. They are kind to little children and mothers-in-law and are naturally gifted at sport. They go out of their way to help others and it is no accident that they include a high proportion of saints in their ranks. Moreover, they are often of exceptional intelligence.

It all sounds too good to be true, and indeed it is. When the eight other personality types found out about the enviable "nine" profile, they turned in fury towards God and asked Him to redress the balance, (just as, long ago, God had been obliged to intervene to calm the bitterness and jealousy provoked by the creation of France). He did this very elegantly and to the satisfaction of other countries by creating the French.

What, then, is the weakness of nines - its besetting sin, its Achilles Heel? The answer is contained in one word which I am now going to spell for you: S L O T H. If nines fail to realise their undoubted potential, it is because they are bone idle.
