"Next Blog"

I don't know whether you have ever clicked on the "Next Blog" button at the top of the Blogger interface? I occasionally do, just to check on what's going on in the blogosphere, and am always surprised by the sameness of the blogs which are almost always of an evangelical and/or family bent.


I am surprised because Google is supposed to use a sophisticated algorithm to select blogs with a certain similarity to mine, but I am blowed if I can see any connection between the contents of my blog and those of the others. They are obviously not selected at random otherwise they would not all or mostly have a religious slant. It is true, too, that I do occasionally touch on religious matters, but no more than I do on a host of other subjects. Very strange.


As for the actual content of these blogs ( in terms of form they put me to shame), I have to say their particular brand of earnestness is not really my cup of tea, but to each his own or chacun à son goût as the French say.
