This is Your Life

I wonder who it was who first thought of the concept or notion of "life". I don't mean so much being alive or dead, as in a plant, an animal or a human being, but rather (and confining ourselves to humans), the actual concept of a life; the idea that your experience day after day contributes to something which has a beginning and an end. Somebody somewhere down the line had to think of it, and perhaps it was the same person who thought of a word to describe it. Whoever that person was, he or she must have been quite someone!

Your post reminds me of a quotation or at least I think it is a quotation though cannot find it on the web, along the lines of:

    "I think I am so I am".

I prefer to lengthen that a little to read:

    "I think so I am - I think".
