Jaded Palates
Do you ever get the feeling that we are living the last days of our particular civilization?Many individuals are in so many ways kinder, happier and brighter than ever before but society as a whole is teetering on the edge economically, socially and morally. Some would say that there is nothing new in the soul-searching thrown up by the demise (I hope) of the House of Murdoch, but I would point to the fact that society requires increasingly strong fare to get its kicks. Bread and circuses and jaded palates. Somewhere along the road we have lost our way.
