To Blog or Not to Blog

That is the question. Weather reports coming in from coastal stations speak of scattered showers and sunny spells.

This blog differs from others in that the posts are often first draft or rough copies. My previous post is a case in point. As regular readers will know, I have a  "thing" about sea cruises and could not resist the temptation of adapting an article in the drivel travel section of the New York Times.

Even before I finished it I realised it was, in the words of Pope Francis, pretty crummy, but rather than delete the whole thing and hope that no-one had seen it - a reasonable hope - I thought I would take the opposite tack and gradually add to it so that the mythical "regular reader" could track the descent into hell in real time. Unfortunately, the idea turned out to be based on a false premise...

Anyway, I take full responsibility for the post. As Harry Truman once said, "The buck shops here". He also said "If you can't stand the sheep, stay out of the kitchen ".
