Do you sometimes wonder what's the point of it all, especially now that no-one ever posts a comment on my blog? I suppose it could be worse if, as I am beginning to suspect, no-one even reads my blog. And who could blame them, given all the other distractions at their disposal? Besides, I have not recently even had the common decency to comment on other people's blogs.
But there are other things to worry about, such as the spread of the Monopolists, by which I mean people who, not content to be world-famous film stars and what have you, also turn out to be extraordinarily talented artists, pianists, singers, script writers, scrap dealers, novelists, political activists and all-round superior human beings. That doesn't leave much for the rest of us, does it? Why can't these people stick to one area of excellence under the terms of the Equal Opportunities Act?

I’d like to post a comment here, Barnaby, but I have too many distractions at my disposal. But thank you for a moment of comedy.
ReplyDeleteCheer up!
ReplyDeleteI'm still reading you but can't think of a response to most of it.
Thanks for your comments from both sides of the Atlantic. The funny thing is that, even when I have "moderated" them, their presence is not recorded in the number of comments.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you can make head or tail of the above but the long and short of it is that I have found a workaround! Best wishes from Fox and Friends.
ReplyDeleteI read you!
