Tha Approximate Mr Dunn

As the years go by my grasp of the French language is becoming more and more approximate, while my French accent has never been anything much in the first place. Hard of hearing, short of sight, and cognitively challenged, I show my approximate approach to life most of all in the field of anatomy. I know (more or less) where my heart is, but where exactly, or even approximately, are the bladder and the prostate - and what is the difference anyway? The liver did you ask, and the kidney? I've heard you can eat them. Can it be true?

I can't help thinking it was just as well that I got out of the translation business when I did. In fact, I think translation was the only domain where I did actually show great precision; anything approximate would have been disastrous - especially in the field of medical translation!

So is that why my default position in this blog is the trivial? Self-disparagement is perhaps my preferred mode but I know there is more to life than that.

For example, the extraordinary and brilliant Rihanna.
