I don't know if you're familiar with Khan Academy (http://www.khanacademy.org/)? Like many other websites, it's a free online learning programme, the difference being, as far as I am concerned anyway, that it actually works. Or at the very least, it's really interesting.
I have to say at the outset that large swathes of the site, depending on your interests, may not concerne you. There is a definite bias in favour of mathematics, computer science and economics, but tucked away in the "Humanities" section is a fascinating series of lectures on "Art History" that puts this subject within the grasp of even an unartistic soul such as me. Fascinating.
There is also a very interesting series of lectures on the Greek Debt Crisis.
