The flowers smell very much like jasmine flowers, while the leaves are similar to those of the lilac. We saw it in flower in September. This tree was grown from a cutting brought back from Tunisia; the young cuttings need to be protected from frost.
Has anyone any idea what it could be?
This tree (which I'm guessing is called something-or-other Jasminoides) sounds far too tender to be grown in this country, so your best bet is to try Kew for information.
