Mulling the Odds

I've just been perusing the obituaries in the New York Times. The lives of the people concerned are of little interest to me but their ages certainly are, and I have good news to report.

They go: 90, 83, 76, 81,87, 88, 84, 80, 91, 94, 90 and so on. What does this mean for you and me? It means that if you can just sneak into this section of the NYT you can look forward to a long, if not necessarily happy, life.

  1. Greetings Barnaby
Your latest blog post is reassuring especially reading it this morning after my first Wimbledon Common jog for a while.
At 64 I assume from your blog post that your are guaranteeing me another 20 years or so. If you are wrong - I'll sue!
