Paradoxically enough, the worse the situation becomes in Iraq, the less likely it is that the US and coalition forces will withdraw. To do so would not only mean an unparalled humiliation for the USA and the UK, and incidentally the end of the line for Bush and Blair, it would also throw the Middle East into complete chaos.
