Message in a bottle?

I daresay this is not the best place to post the message below, especially as I am not the most assiduous of bloggers (but hope springs eternal and I aim to write more regularly if and when the strain of trying to earn a living as a translator eases off a bit).

If anyone has, or can point me in the direction of, a book called Alfie (or perhaps The Adventures of Alfie), I would be willing to pay a "reasonable" amount of money for it. The book was written by Katherine (or Catherine) Tozer and was published in the UK in the later 1940s by John Murray. It's a children's book about witches!
I've tried E-Bay but to no avail, also online second-hand bookshops.
If by any chance you have this book, perhaps you could post a comment to this blog or else contact me at:
barnaby.capeldunn@gmail.com

With many thanks anyway
