Kate Williams, Historian?

Very interesting programme about Kate Williams on BBC Two last night, despite the rather confusing title of "Young Victoria". As the programme progressed it became clear that Kate is indeed a very pretty young woman, and obviously in good physical shape as she demonstrated by climbing up and down a selection of royal stairs with consummate ease, and striding purposefully across flower-bedecked palatial gardens. The programme was rather spoiled for me, though, by the unwelcome intrusion of this Victoria woman. I couldn't make out what she was supposed to be doing there.
