Well done, Le Clézio!

In the end, he won because he wanted it more than I did. When it came down to it, I just wasn't prepared to write the sort of book the Nobel panel wanted to read.
I hasten to add that this is not a case of sour grapes and that I have nothing against Le Clézio as a writer. Along with virtually everybody else, I have not read any of his books.
