Arts Guide

“Blog early and blog often”, to paraphrase traditional voting advice given by Corsican politicians on election day. So here’s the latest on the arts scene:

PINHUKARTCENTER: Damien Hirst

The 100 paintings and installations reflect Hirst’s collection of life and death concepts with the help of cigarette butts, dead sharks, sombre paintings of skulls, bird droppings, lavatorial inscriptions and a hung cow. “Art is about making money (lots of it), yer know what I mean?”, explains businessman Hirst. The exhibition stays in Kiev to mid-June when it moves to the Swat Valley.
