Publishing sensation Carter Dan Brown's latest blockbuster, The Lost Cymbal, once again features esteemed cymbalogist Robert Langdon, still apparently on paid leave of absence from Harvard. I expect they're glad to be rid of him. I know I would be although it's hardly my place as a literary critic to say so.
Is this Dan Brown's greatest book? It's very hard to say without actually reading it, something I do not feel very inclined to do. Of one thing I am certain, though: Dan Brown is the most prolific user of italics the world has ever seen.
