Complications

Although the book is rather forbiddingly subtitled "A surgeon's notes on an imperfect science", it is in fact a well written and absolutely riveting account of the surgeon's profession, and much else besides. *In actual fact of course, I do not have a favourite son-in-law, or indeed a favourite son or daughter. They are all equally beloved in my eyes and they can all look forward to an equal share of my estate if and when the time should ever come that I decide to er kick it.
