To All My Friends

I would just like to apologise for the lack of activity on this blog in recent times. I suppose I could say that my silence is prompted by the lack of anything interesting to say, but, as you would no doubt truthly retort, that has never stopped me in the past!
No, it's just that there seems to be - indeed there is - so much misery in the world at the moment that I can't for bring myself to write anything just now. But this sort of attitude is not sustainable in the long run, and I soon shall be back, have no fear!
In the meantime, and although  it's not really the season for greetings, I wish you all the best of health and every happiness.
Best
Barnaby

  1. Greetings Barnaby

I agree with all you say about the surfeit of misery in the world at present. EG It is hard enough looking at the lot of so many in Pakistan coping with their floods at the moment let alone bearing in mind those even pooer in Niger having to do the same.

Even an ordinary London suburban life seems hugely unfairly privileged.

Yet a little light heartedness is essential for all as otherwise even those who are not physically suffering, in say the floods, will become too introspective and self centred and not capable of helping anyone else.

    Keep your blog posts coming.
