The BBC Business Editor Robert Peston makes a point of starting off nice and slowly so that even imbeciles like me can follow his drift. But then the drugs begin to kick in, the pupils of his eyes dilate and before you know it he has switched to the language spoken by the natives of Gibberland, or - to put it another way - gibberish.
Aint that the troof !
ReplyDeleteWe now time him to see exactly when the speeding-up takes place.
So who (shat) do you read/listen to, in order to "make sense of it all", East Anglian?
ReplyDeleteGood question !
ReplyDeleteWe get the Saturday Guardian each week and occasionally also the Observer - tho the latter is really a rehash of the former these days.
And we surf around for political wozzers who appear in other publications, not just in the UK.
But I don't know that anyone is making much 'sense' of the current situation - all appear to be holding their breath and fire.
btw, Andrew Neil is starting a new programme in the NY, to replace the current Andrew Marr BBC1 effort on Sundays. It's telling, I feel, that they are reaching back to the golden oldies - look out for Robin Day next, always supposing he still breaths! Does he?
Sorry, I meant "what" not "shat"! That's not my style.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about Robin Day, but I expect he does.
