The Capel-Dunn Story

Season 69 of this long-running series got under way last Monday. Many had expected the Head of Light Entertainment to "pull the plug" on a programme whose best days, let's face it, lie in the distant past when Mars Bars ruled supreme, but for some reason Capel-Dunn and his sidekicks are allowed to lumber on, albeit in diminished form. Many of the original cast have been written out of the script but the star himself is still very much with us, physically if not mentally, and shows little inclination to try his hand at anything else. In a moment of candour that she may come to regret, the show's long-suffering French director voiced concern about the star's inability to learn and/or remember his lines.

  2. Thank you, Michael!
The great thing about responding to a comment on my own blog is that I don't have to prove that I'm not a robot!
