Climate

Has there ever been a serious televised debate on the question of climate change? There have been plenty of "catastrophe" programmes and no doubt some (but fewer) devoted to those who oppose the majority view. But to my knowledge (I write subject to correction) there has been no heavyweight confrontation of views under the strict and impartial eye of an adjudicator. I propose Tim Sebastian as chairman.

I have just been checking on the BBC website and there have indeed been some semblances of debate, e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/dailypolitics/andrewneil/2009/11/climate_change_debate_calm_civ.html

But with Copenhagen looming, surely the time has come for something more significant? I think that even we, the great unwashed, are ready for this now!
