I have been advised to keep away from the heavy intellectual stuff since I obviously don't have the brain power for this sort of exercise. Is this a polite way of saying that I don't have the brain power for this sort of exercise?
Well, really! The cheek of it!
It has further been suggested that I should keep to the facetious drivel which I do better than anyone or at least anything else.
But just a final note on my last post (an unfortunate expression!). What type of nation is best equipped to face up to the challenges of the 21st century? Could it be a country with a clear sense of its destiny and unburdened by, you know, an opposition? A police state, in other words. But I can't think of any, can you?
Who's so been advising you, Mr. Dunn? This anon values both types of postings, though perhaps not the stuff on how computers do/do not 'work'!
ReplyDeleteRegarding the country best fitted to face up to the horrors of the modern world. History will probably eventually show this to have been N.Korea.
In the meantime, Dear Old Blighty very likely isn't the country first to be thought of but we usually sort of somehow muddle through. And history looks back with total astonishment and calls for another drink .....
